Since 1984, the Phoenix Ball Club has been host to world class
men’s fast-pitch softball: the Zeister Slot Tournament (ZST).
Each year the best (national) teams in Europe come to Zeist in the
Netherlands during Whitsun/Pentecost weekend (Pinksteren) to test
their skills, fine tune their strategy, and get in shape for
upcoming European or World Championships. For the players, the
ZST also provides a chance to renew both old rivalries and long
standing friendships.
Spectators are treated with a front row view of fast-paced,
action-packed competition. The atmosphere is warm, friendly
and inviting. The competition will be tight and fierce as ever.
This
year there will be a round-robin competition between a
7 team lineup, which includes the national teams of
Netherlands (last year's winner) and Denmark.
The
round-robin competition will be followed by play off
games and the final on Monday afternoon 3 pm/15.00
